I love abstract art. I love the infinite compositional possibilities available as I apply paint and mixed media materials to a previously blank canvas and seek to find the balance and personal meaning in the piece. I find joy and fulfillment in this process of experimentation and discovery as I apply layer after layer and scrape away to see what is revealed beneath. While each piece has deep meaning for me, the individual interpretation is open to the viewer.
My work has been in the art and interior design fields for over thirty years. I began my art career in 1989 as a decorative artist executing residential and commercial faux finishes, murals and painted furniture.
I practice interior design consultation, have free-lanced as a scenic artist, and made three dimensional mosaic pieces. In the fall of 2020, I was inspired to begin painting on canvas. My abstract paintings come from my imagination, my experiences in nature, my emotions, and my love of movement, form and color. Every painting is a journey of discovery.
My wearable art clothing line, Anita Bradley, is the fashion line I design based on my artwork. I have always loved fashion and the opportunity for personal expression it provides. Creating this fashion line is the fulfillment of a life-long dream to design clothing.
